High Efficiency Air Conditioning

Bosch Heat Pump

The bottom line is that you need something to keep your home cool in the hot summer months.

Why not invest in a high-efficiency system that not only saves you money on energy bills, but can keep the temperature in your home more consistent and comfortable, and reliably perform for many years to come?

Plus, 16+ SEER, 2-stage high-efficiency systems are the primary systems that qualify for utility company rebates, which further reduces the initial cost of investment.

What is SEER?

SEER

Stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating

The higher the unit’s SEER rating, the more energy efficient it is.

Starting in 2006, the legal minimum became 13.0 SEER.

Beginning in 2024, the legal minimum will become 14.0 SEER.

Why is R410A Important?

R410A is a newer “earth-friendly” refrigerant.

R-22 (Freon) has been phased out.

As of 2010, no more R-22 air conditioners have been produced.

As of 2020, R-22 is no longer available worldwide.

Stages Explained

Stages refer to how an air conditioner’s compressor functions.

There are several ways that air conditioners operate:

Light Switch

Single Stage

Single-Stage compressors operate like a light switch – the air conditioner is either “on” or “off”
Dual ACs

2-Stage

Two-Stage is like having two air conditioners – a small one for moderate days and a big one for really hot days. Two-stage compressors operate at low stage most of the time for quieter, more efficient performance.
Inverter Rotary Compressor

Inverter-Rotary Technology

The inverter component changes electrical current from ac to dc and almost infinitely varies the compressor stages and fan motor speeds for ultimate energy savings. The rotary compressor operates in concert with the inverter, so the system can modulate between 40% to 118% of capacity, adjusting to exact cooling requirements in your home.
